If it fails to reduce or eliminate dandruff, use shampoos that are specifically antidandruff. Buy products that contain ketoconazole, sulfur, coal tar, and salicylic acid, as much as possible. These components can more effectively treat the condition compared to other non-prescription medicated hair care shampoos.

By now, you should be seeing a positive reaction on your scalp. If the dandruff continues to appear or it becomes worse, you should go see a doctor for treatment. Most likely, a dermatologist will attend to your case and may prescribe you with corticosteroids. Don’t use this lotion without the prescription of a doctor, though, because it may cause side effects and thin out your scalp when used for a long period.

Maintain a hygienic routine to keep your body healthy. Take bath and shampoo your hair regularly to remove dirt, especially if you’re always exposed to air pollutants, and refrain from using hair products.
